Travel to beautiful Thailand for a lovely yoga retreat. There is a huge range of yoga retreats on offer. Is it a unique jungle retreat or beach retreat you want? I have made a small selection of yoga retreats to help you on your way.
Yoga retreat in Thailand
A yoga retreat is always a good idea if you ask me. Especially in Thailand, because there you get a lot of yoga for your money. Although the prices of yoga retreats in Thailand also vary a lot. It just depends on what you are looking for: pure luxury or is back to basic also okay for you? Most yoga retreats in Thailand also offer a variety of additional activities, from cooking classes to massages.
I eventually went for a yoga teacher training in Thailand (this one). Because I just wanted to immerse myself entirely in the yoga bubble and was also looking for more depth. It just depends on what you’re looking for. In my search, I came across many yoga retreats that seemed pretty amazing. This is a small selection.

Affordable yoga retreat in Krabi (6 days)
This lovely yoga retreat in Ao Nang is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful escape that won’t break the bank. At Marina Yoga, you get to practice your downward dogs just 3 kilometers from the stunning beaches of Krabi. The retreat offers two daily yoga sessions where you can dive into different styles like Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin – perfect whether you’re just starting out or you’re already a yoga pro. What I love about this place is its authentic, down-to-earth vibe: you wake up to homemade bread and fresh fruits, roll out your mat in their yoga shala with gorgeous views of the Krabi landscape, and can even join some cool extras like Reiki sessions and cacao ceremonies. Plus, when you’re not on your mat, you can take a dip in the nearby resort pool or hop on a scooter to explore the area.
Vegan wellness retreat on Koh Phangan (5 days)
Up for a great yoga retreat on Koh Phangan? The island has so much more to offer than full moon parties. This retreat takes place in Surat Thani, far away from the party vibes. It includes yoga, pilates and meditation sessions and it’s actually one of the most popular yoga retreats in all of Thailand! The ‘regular’ program is complemented by all kinds of interesting workshops and sessions like sound healings and kirtans. Lots of variety and really delicious vegan food. Pure bliss!
At BookYogaRetreats, you will find more than 300 yoga retreats in Thailand in different price ranges, from a few days to a month.
Karma yoga vacation in Chumphon (8 days)
This is a completely different experience than your average yoga vacation. At Eco-Logic you do karma yoga: you help out in the vegetable garden and around the property for a few hours each day. At the same time you get yoga lessons, Thai massages and even learn a bit of Thai. The resort is located in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. You eat what grows on the property and with your stay you also support a good cause: the Thai Child Development Foundation. Perfect if you like to pitch in and want to give something back.
Yoga holiday in Phuket (7 days)
At CC’s Hideaway in Phuket’s lush Kata hills, you get way more than just a yoga retreat – it’s a full-on Thailand adventure! You’ll start your days with yoga sessions overlooking the Andaman Sea (talk about a dreamy morning view!), and then you get to choose your own adventure each day. Want to explore hidden islands and snorkel in crystal-clear lagoons? Done. Feeling more like a spa day with some chakra tuning? They’ve got that too. What makes this retreat special is how flexible it is – you can mix and match activities each day between their active and relaxing programs, so one day you might be learning to cook Thai food, and the next you could be zip-lining through the jungle. The boutique hotel itself is gorgeous, sitting pretty in the hills with easy access to three different beaches. Plus, all your meals are included (think fresh, healthy food), and they even throw in daily fresh juices – perfect after those morning yoga sessions!

Yoga sadhana retreat on Koh Phangan (15 days)
Two weeks of completely immersing yourself in yoga – that’s what you do at this sadhana retreat. Sadhana basically means a regular spiritual practice, and you get plenty of that here. You start the day with yoga, pranayama and meditation, followed by yoga philosophy and yoga nidra or sound healing. In the afternoon another yoga class and in the evening silent meditation. Six days a week, Sunday is free. The resort is located right on the beach on Koh Phangan and you eat healthy vegetarian meals. This is for when you really want to go deep with your yoga practice.
Muay Thai en yoga retreat in Phetchabun (10 dagen)
Now this is a unique yoga retreat! At Battle Conquer Gym you combine yoga with Muay Thai training, fitness and meditation – all on the peaceful countryside of Phetchabun. You can choose from a whopping 70 activities per week: from boxing training and CrossFit to temple tours and cooking workshops. The retreat is aimed at people who want to get moving and relax. You eat healthy Thai meals, get five free massages and can even feed monkeys or listen to a Buddhist monk.
Yoga and meditation retreat in Chiang Mai (3 days)
At Flow Yoga you stay in the middle of rice fields, surrounded by mountains and village sounds. It’s a small-scale retreat with room for a maximum of six guests. You do daily yoga, mindfulness and meditation in a quiet, natural environment. The retreat is located just 12.4 miles (20 kilometers) from Chiang Mai airport, so you’re close enough to the city for trips to temples or the night market, but still nice and peaceful surrounded by nature. Airport transfer is included and you get a bike to explore the area. Perfect for a short yoga retreat.
Tip! Want to do a yoga nidra session at home? Try the Insight Timer app. You can listen to sessions for free. Mine too! Check them out.
