Travel to beautiful Thailand for a lovely yoga retreat. There is a huge range of yoga retreats on offer. Is it a unique jungle retreat or beach retreat you want? I have made a small selection of yoga retreats to help you on your way.
Yoga retreat in Thailand
A yoga retreat is always a good idea if you ask me. Especially in Thailand, because there you get a lot of yoga for your money. Although the prices of yoga retreats in Thailand also vary a lot. It just depends on what you are looking for: pure luxury or is back to basic also okay for you? Most yoga retreats in Thailand also offer a variety of additional activities, from cooking classes to massages.
I eventually went for a yoga teacher training in Thailand (this one). Because I just wanted to immerse myself entirely in the yoga bubble and was also looking for more depth. It just depends on what you’re looking for. In my search, I came across many yoga retreats that seemed pretty amazing. This is a small selection.

Affordable yoga retreat in Krabi (6 days)
This lovely yoga retreat in Ao Nang is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful escape that won’t break the bank. At Marina Yoga, you get to practice your downward dogs just 3 kilometers from the stunning beaches of Krabi. The retreat offers two daily yoga sessions where you can dive into different styles like Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin – perfect whether you’re just starting out or you’re already a yoga pro. What I love about this place is its authentic, down-to-earth vibe: you wake up to homemade bread and fresh fruits, roll out your mat in their yoga shala with gorgeous views of the Krabi landscape, and can even join some cool extras like Reiki sessions and cacao ceremonies. Plus, when you’re not on your mat, you can take a dip in the nearby resort pool or hop on a scooter to explore the area.
Yoga and Wellness retreat in Phuket (8 days)
If it’s luxury you’re after, this yoga retreat in Phuket might be for you. You participate in two yoga sessions every day and receive an Ayurvedic treatment for 2 hours. An Ayurveda specialist will work intensively with you, and you can choose from various massages daily. Between yoga and massages, you can chill at the beautiful swimming pool or retreat to your luxurious accommodation. This is genuinely a pamper yoga holiday!
At BookYogaRetreats, you will find more than 300 yoga retreats in Thailand in different price ranges, from a few days to a month.
Yoga and meditation retreat in Chiang Mai (5 days)
This is so cool! At this yoga retreat in Thailand, you stay with a Thai family and a couple of cats and dogs. You can join various yoga classes, meditations, and workshops in the middle of the jungle. It is a small-scale retreat: there are only four rooms. So, if you want, you also quickly build a good relationship with your fellow yogis. A yoga retreat to remember.
Yoga holiday in Phuket (7 days)
At CC’s Hideaway in Phuket’s lush Kata hills, you get way more than just a yoga retreat – it’s a full-on Thailand adventure! You’ll start your days with yoga sessions overlooking the Andaman Sea (talk about a dreamy morning view!), and then you get to choose your own adventure each day. Want to explore hidden islands and snorkel in crystal-clear lagoons? Done. Feeling more like a spa day with some chakra tuning? They’ve got that too. What makes this retreat special is how flexible it is – you can mix and match activities each day between their active and relaxing programs, so one day you might be learning to cook Thai food, and the next you could be zip-lining through the jungle. The boutique hotel itself is gorgeous, sitting pretty in the hills with easy access to three different beaches. Plus, all your meals are included (think fresh, healthy food), and they even throw in daily fresh juices – perfect after those morning yoga sessions!

Yoga and meditation retreat in Koh Samui (3 days)
Even if you aren’t into yoga, you want to book this place because of its location. On top of the cliff, by the sea, and with beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor areas. Just looking at the photos makes me feel calm and relaxed. Every day, you have two yoga classes and a meditation session. You can also join tours in the area or book a Reiki session as an extra. A perfect yoga retreat to start or end your holiday in Thailand.
Vegan wellness retreat in Koh Phangan (5 days)
Yes, one more lovely yoga retreat on Koh Phangan. The island has so much more to offer than full moon parties. This retreat takes place in Surat Thani, far from the party vibes. It consists of yoga, pilates, and meditation sessions, and it is one of Thailand’s most popular yoga retreats! The ‘regular’ program is supplemented with exciting workshops and sessions like sound healings and kirtans. Lots of variety and very tasty vegan food. You’ll love it!
Yoga training in Koh Phangan (28 days)
Do you want yoga all day, every damn day? Then opt for a teacher training. You will learn everything about yoga so that you can teach yoga afterward. But of course, you don’t have to. I did this yoga teacher training at One Yoga and thought it was fantastic. Incredibly hard, because yoga is all you do and learn from half past six in the morning to six in the evening for four weeks. You get a lot of yoga classes to work on your own practice, but you also learn about anatomy and yoga philosophy. So you go much deeper into the yoga bubble than you do at a regular yoga retreat.
Tip! Want to do a yoga nidra session at home? Try the Insight Timer app. You can listen to sessions for free. Mine too! Check them out.
