Ibiza and yoga? That might sound weird if you mainly know the island for its summer club scene. But underneath that party layer lies a spiritual vibe. The island actually has hippie roots and a thriving yoga community. From a spontaneous beach class to a week-long retreat in Ibiza: I’m sharing all your options!

Why yoga in Ibiza?

Forget those images of partying tourists for a moment. Ibiza has an entirely different side too. The island was a magnet for hippies and spiritual seekers in the sixties. That vibe is still there, just in a modern package. Today, you’ll find beautiful yoga studios, experienced instructors, and unforgettable settings: doing yoga with views of the Mediterranean or under pine trees.

The great thing about Ibiza is that you can choose what fits you. Are you here for a week and just want to do yoga once or twice? No problem. Want to go really deep with a retreat? That’s possible too. And everything in between, by the way.

Drop-in yoga classes: just getting a taste

If you’re looking for a single class, you can find one at various spots in Ibiza. I’ve made a small selection of your options here, but there’s a good chance there’s a yoga studio near your accommodation, too.

Classpass in Ibiza

Have a Classpass subscription? Then you can book a class at different yoga studios in Ibiza. Check your options here Just make sure the class is taught in English (unless you speak Spanish, of course).

Beach yoga with essential oils

This offering combines beach yoga with aromatherapy. Essential oils like lavender are often used to help you unwind even more during final relaxation. While I couldn’t find all the details of this specific GetYourGuide offering, it sounds really interesting. And it’s affordable: €19 ($23).

Beach yoga at Amante

One of the most beautiful spots for a spontaneous yoga class is Amante. Here you do yoga overlooking Sol Den Serra bay, and afterward you can stay for a healthy breakfast on the terrace. The class and breakfast together cost €40 ($48). There’s a class every weekday morning. It’s a hatha class suitable for all levels. Book here.

Yoga studio in Santa Eulària

Ashram Ibiza is a studio in Santa Eulària where you can try different yoga styles. They teach in multiple languages and you can also book private lessons. A drop-in class costs €20 ($24), but there are also special short-term packages if you want to come more often during your vacation.

Beach yoga in Playa d’en Bossa

At Beachouse’s beach club, you can do beach yoga at 9:30 AM. After class, you get a juice, and coffee or tea, which costs €30 ($36). For an extra €15 ($18), you can stick around for breakfast. It’s the perfect way to start your vacation day right. Reserve your class here.

Strandyoga in San Antonio

Another beach option: beach yoga in San Antonio. Here you do yoga with the sound of the sea in the background and views over the bay. English-speaking instructors make sure everyone feels welcome, whether you’re a beginner or have been doing yoga for years. There are different time slots: Tuesday at 10 AM and 7 PM (sunset!) and Friday at noon. A perfect way to start or end your day peacefully. You can book here.

Yoga by the sea with breakfast

At Hostal La Torre (also a great spot for sunset), you can take a yoga class with sea views every Saturday, followed by a nourishing breakfast. Instructor Jana gets rave reviews, and after class, you can chill on comfortable lounge beds overlooking the sea. It costs €45 ($54), and you can reserve here. They also have sunset yoga on Tuesday from 5-6 PM for €15 ($18). It’s an ideal combination of movement and enjoying the Ibiza vibes.

And something completely different: alpaca yoga!

Okay, this might not be the most traditional form of yoga, but it’s unforgettable. At an alpaca farm in Ibiza, you can do yoga with alpacas around you. It sounds crazy, but it’s both relaxing and hilarious. Read more about it in my blog about alpaca yoga in Ibiza.

Half-day retreats: just a little bit more

Want something more than just a class, but not quite ready for a full week of yoga? Then check out half-day retreats. A smart middle ground!

Secret Cove Yoga

Instructor Boo takes you to a secret cave with views of Es Vedra for a vinyasa yoga class suitable for all levels. After yoga, you can take a dip in the crystal-clear water and get a glass of cava. The experience lasts two hours and starts at Cala Comte beach car park. According to reviews, it feels like a great mix of yoga, nature, and relaxation. Heads up: this often sells out quickly! You can book here.

One Day Retreat

A half-day retreat might be perfect for you. I did the one from One Day Retreat and absolutely loved it. The yoga teacher picks an idyllic location (it’s a surprise!) and then you’re truly on retreat for three hours. Really great option!

Yoga retreats: going deep

There are plenty of retreat options for those who really want to completely unwind and immerse themselves in yoga. And how nice: many retreats have multiple start dates per year, so you have lots of choice.

On BookYogaRetreats.com, you’ll find many more retreat options with different start dates throughout the year, from luxury five-star retreats to budget-friendly options. This website is handy for comparing different providers. I’ve made a small selection for you here.

Maybe your travel partner can just arrive a few days later if they’re not into yoga? Best of both worlds! More info.

The Lotus Pad Ibiza (8 days)

Wendy’s bed, breakfast, and yoga concept in the countryside near San Lorenzo is one of the most affordable options. You stay in a traditional finca or caravan among the fields. Every morning, there’s yoga (a mix of vinyasa and meditative styles) followed by an extensive vegetarian breakfast. It’s ideal for those seeking peace without paying top dollar. You’re also welcome to bring someone who’s not into yoga. You have tons of free time, so it’s a relaxed option for both of you. See all details.

Practical tips

When to go? The best time for yoga in Ibiza is from April to October. In winter many yoga studios are closed or have limited offerings.

What to bring? Most places have yoga mats, but feel free to bring your own. You can also rent them at some places. Also, think about a towel and water.

Booking? I recommend booking in advance for both drop-in classes and retreats. Popular retreats are often sold out months ahead.

Price? A drop-in class costs around €20 ($24). Retreats, depending on accommodation and what’s included, range from a few hundred euros for a weekend to over a thousand euros for a week.

Yoga in Ibiza: decision overload?

If you’ve never done yoga before, start with a drop-in class to see if it’s something for you. Do you already do yoga at home? Then, a half-day retreat is a fun way to try something new without committing to a whole week.

And if you’re really ready for a reset, a week-long retreat in Ibiza is unforgettable. You’ll not only come back relaxed but probably with new friends and maybe a completely different perspective on yoga.

The beautiful thing about Ibiza is there’s room for everyone. Whether you want to sweat hardcore in hot yoga or prefer peaceful hatha with sea views, it’s all possible. And who knows, you might discover a whole new side of yourself, just like the island offers more than just that party reputation.
